Declaration In Support Of The Alliance Of Sahel States

In July of this year, 1919 partnered and signed on to a declaration in support of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) confederation alongside 51 other organizations across the diaspora. We stand firmly in this collective and salute the struggle that has been waged across the AES that has begun materially and politically addressing the impacts of imperialism on our continent.

We also would like to highlight the ongoing fundraiser being organized by The Coalition for the Elimination of Imperialism in Africa to send one of their organizers located in the Congo to the AES Summit taking place this month in Bamako, Mali. Attending the summit represents a great opportunity to connect the struggles in the Congo to the liberated zones and work that is taking place in the AES. Contribute to help our comrades in the continent pushing our struggle forward by any means necessary. Please visit this link to contribute to the fundraiser.

Declaration in support of the Alliance of Sahel States Confederation

To the attention of the Governments of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) Confederation

Your Excellencies,

We, the Pan-African organizations and associations of the Diaspora, express full and fraternal support for your commitment to the sovereignty of your peoples and the break with the neo-colonial order. The birth of the AES marked a historic turning point in the struggle of African peoples for their emancipation. You have resurrected the flame of revolution in Africa and you are providing a model of Pan-African solidarity. We strongly affirm that the fight currently being waged in the Sahel is a fight for the whole of Africa and her children spread throughout the world. With each triumph in the Sahel, the whole of Africa and its diaspora advances.

As Pan-African organizations and associations based in the Diaspora, we recognize the crucial role we have to play in raising the consciousness of our communities here, in order to wage an effective struggle against the imperialist world order. Since the founding of the AES, our structures have been engaged in several activities to support the AES materially, ideologically and logistically.

From producing positive AES propaganda, hosting rallies to denounce the aggression of imperialist forces and their regional lackeys and fundraising to support the revolutionary organizations throughout the AES, our collective remains staunchly by your side in this struggle for the total liberation of Africa.

We salute your courage and affirm our indefectible solidarity in this common struggle against imperialism and neo-colonialism in all its forms. Africa does not need foreign tutelage: it needs unity, social justice, and governments at the service of their peoples.

Our collective stands by you to build, with all African peoples, a free, dignified and sovereign Africa.

Please accept, your Excellencies, our Pan-Africanist greetings.
