Where in the world are the land and the people free?

Homecoming was conceived as a term to uncover the roots of this question and expose the contradictions of the idea of home. A title for an expansive category of works that could trouble be-longing and honour death. We spoke to our community and asked them to hold and communicate themes of land, water, desire, movement, return, celebration, memory, upheaval, grief, be-longing, and untold histories. They called to us in return with questions of home that considered food-ways, movements, self, handshakes, space, massacre, depression, dispossession, memories, and change.
